My Journey of Becoming
By Rose Heart

For much of my early adult life, my greatest role was being a mother. During those years, I began exploring holistic wellness and discovered a different way of thinking about how we care for ourselves and live our lives. What began as a personal exploration for me and my family grew into a deep interest in natural approaches to well-being, eventually leading me to massage school, where I discovered essential oils—and an entirely unexpected path began to unfold.
That path began with an aromatherapy class at massage school. I discovered an intuitive ability to blend essential oils, and before long, what I was learning began growing into something I could share with others. While I was still in massage school, Home Spa Organics was born. My growing love of aromatherapy led me to continue my studies and become a certified aromatherapist and herbalist. Home Spa Organics eventually expanded to include Spa Organics Wholesale and Dental Spa Organics. What had begun as a personal interest in holistic wellness had unexpectedly become my life’s path disguised as work.
As my businesses grew, another part of my life was secretly unraveling. I had embraced a holistic way of living, yet I was also using drugs and alcohol to cope with the unresolved trauma of my past and the stresses of my life.
I was a living dichotomy—learning how to care for myself while still trying to escape from myself.
Eventually, addiction took over, and I reached a point where something had to change. I had hit bottom. I once heard that the bottom happens when you stop digging. I made a conscious choice to stop digging.
In 2008, I began my journey of recovery. Although sobriety saved my life, I would eventually discover that getting sober was not the final solution to my problems—it was the clear, unfiltered path that allowed me to discover who I was beneath the trauma and confusion. I couldn’t transform what I continued to escape from. I embraced the revelation that my past had become one of my greatest tools for transforming unconscious limiting beliefs, identities, and patterns—and that my body was and continues to be a safe place I can come home to.
Transforming Collateral Damage into Collateral Beauty™
Recovery became a living exploration. I turned toward gratitude, meditation, holistic practices, and spiritual curiosity, not simply as things to study, but as doorways to understanding and experiencing the heart of who I am more deeply. I began to recognize the difference between knowing something intellectually and living it.
Some of my greatest teachers taught by example, not by preaching. Reflected in their eyes, I felt seen, truly seen—not as a project that needed fixing, but as a soul longing to awaken. I learned to stop looking outside myself for answers and began listening to the inner guru from within. My teachers didn’t ask me to look to them for the answers, or even to try to fix myself. They asked me to simply See myself.
As the years of recovery continued to unfold, so did my ever-opening heart. From my opportunity to heal from Lyme disease to traversing the grieving process of a 35-year marriage that ended in divorce, there were seasons of profound change, uncertainty, loss, and unexpected new beginnings. Each one invited me to meet another version of myself as I continued to evolve and awaken—to question the beliefs I had carried, loosen my attachment to who I thought I was supposed to be, and become curious about who I was becoming. What once felt like circumstances I simply had to survive began revealing themselves as opportunities for transformation. My past was no longer something out to destroy me; it had become the very inspiration for my liberation. But before liberation came deep grief.
Collateral Damage Becomes Collateral Beauty™
In 2023, as my 35-year marriage came to an end, I found myself at another kind of bottom—an emotional bottom. I had spent much of my adult life within the identities of marriage and business partnership, and suddenly I was standing at the edge of a life I didn’t yet recognize. I stepped away from Organic Infusions and into what I thought would be retirement, giving myself the space to grieve and, once again, discover who I was beneath identities I had carried for decades.
What followed became another season of exploration. And the ever-evolving question visited me again. Who am I?
After my divorce and retirement, I returned more deeply to yoga and meditation, eventually traveling to Mexico for a 200-hour yoga teacher training. Soon after, I extended my training and became certified in meditation and breathwork. My spiritual exploration also took me to India, where my understanding of these practices continued to deepen. I attended Joe Dispenza retreats, continued my spiritual studies, and began studying Kabbalah.
Breathwork became an especially meaningful part of this journey—not simply another practice I had learned, but something I could experience within my own body as a way of returning to myself. These experiences continued to teach me the difference between understanding something intellectually and embodying it.
I wasn’t searching for a new identity to replace the one I had lost. I was learning how to honor the space between who I had been and who I had not yet become. I began to fall in love with the magical mystery of the unknown.
And then, from within that unknown, something unexpected emerged, like a new budding seedling reaching out of the dark toward the light. In November 2025, while attending a Joe Dispenza retreat in Cancún, I had a profound spiritual experience that opened my heart in a way I had never expected. In that moment, the years of recovery, exploration, study, loss, and transformation seemed to converge as one loving Voice, and I received a clear vision for a new paradigm of recovery. I didn’t know yet what it would look like or what it would become. I only knew that I was being called to step out of retirement, trust what was unfolding, and live my Divine Purpose Blueprint.
When I returned home from Cancún, I carried that calling within my budding heart, but its fragrance had not yet revealed itself. Then one day, during meditation, the words permeated the air, rising from my blossoming heart: “I’m free. I’m free. RecoverFree.” In that moment, RecoverFree™ was born.
But that message wasn’t just for me. It was a message for all of us. I thought back to the new paradigm of recovery I had envisioned on that beach in Cancún, where I understood something that has become central to RecoverFree: we can’t walk the path of recovery alone. We need each other—not to fix or change each other, but to see and be seen by one another.
Every tear, every struggle, every moment of despair brought me to this moment of revelation. And through it all, reflected in the mirrors of each other’s hearts, I came to understand:
Collateral Damage IS Collateral Beauty™
